Cap-Haitian

I created this video for our Church after my visit to Cap-Haitian in April of 2015. Today the school has 419 children enrolled in it.

My name is Pastor Pete Tremblay. I met Pastor Vilmer Paul at seminary in Jackson Mississippi, I believe it was 2008. Pastor Vilmer asked if our little Church in Northern Pennsylvania would help his church start a school. Pastor Vilmer believes that only a Christian and educated citizenry will change the nation of Haiti. The Church at Cap-Haitian numbers about 400 and was started by Pastor Vilmer.

The Lord has provided for a sound education for this energetic pastor. He is a graduate of Emmaus Seminary in Cap-Haitian, Haiti, and holds an MDIV from Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi, and now has received his doctorate from Nyack University in New York. With this foundation Pastor Vilmer is raising up both lay-leaders and Pastors in Haiti.

Pastor Vilmer provided the leadership in Haiti for Resource Haiti. We rejoice in God’s leading in connecting us with him. When we visit Haiti, we are the ones who are blessed.

You may know that Haiti is a 3rd world country with great needs in our own hemisphere. You may also know that a terrible earthquake devastated Haiti in 2010. Though Cap-Haitian escaped the physical effects of the earthquake, this city has not escaped the ongoing demands of the survivors, many of which moved to the area.

The needs are great. At the present time, we do not have adequate funding for the 419 children in the school at Cap-Haitian. Your help in giving towards Resource Haiti will go 100% to the need.

In Christ
